Crescent Times going National:

Support Australia’s first Islamic media publication

By promoting your business

Crescent Times newspaper aims to provide an independent media voice for the Australian Muslim community and by doing so, improve relationships locally and with the broader Australian community.

Crescent Times newspaper will be published in Melbourne in March 2009:

·         Crescent Times publishes local Muslim news from around Australia including coverage of news, events, problems, activities and associations. Interested persons are invited to submit articles for publication and Crescent Times will endeavour to publish as much local news as possible to provide a local voice for the Muslim community. The newspaper is published monthly.

·         Crescent Times invites all Melbourne based Muslim businesses to advertise with the newspaper in Victoria, to support the voice of our Muslim community. Your advertising is a two way service between you and your local Muslim community. You are able to promote your business to them, in return they get a free copy of the newspaper covering their news and concerns, allowing their voice to be heard and their rights to be defended.

·         For the first month of publication you get free art work (if you do not have print ready advertising)as well as 60% off usual advertising prices. In addition Crescent Times team will offer ongoing discounts for eligible supportive clients.

·         If you would like to distribute the newspaper free from your shop or work place, please contact us (phone or email) with an estimation of the number of copies you can distribute so we can arrange for delivery to your business each month.

·         If you have any news, issues, press releases or feature stories you would like published or if you know someone who could contribute please do not hesitate to contact Crescent Times with details so that we can ensure that the newspaper is a real voice of the community.

Crescent Times is a step towards strengthening both our Muslim community and our Australian community by giving a voice to those who have no voice. Your co-operation will bring us one step closer to achieving that goal.

Wasalam,

 The editor in chief,

Tarek Chamkhi
